Relevant Images & designs by different artists/designers that inspire me.

I want to explore art/designs that have been created using text or handwriting over top of images.

This is exactly the kind of image I want to create except the boots will be portraits of people. I love the casualness of this, its contemporary and positive. I am also drawn to its muted washed out colour tone.

This image appeals to me because of its textured appearance. It has pink coloured text along with the white for variety.

This is an advertisement for Nike this is a very good example of how using  the subjects own handwriting makes an image so much more personal.

This image has green text, I prefer plain black or white, but this shows how a larger amount of words can still be effective.

I really like the simplicity of this image by Lynne Knowlton. I would like the handwriting directly over the photographs, but if this cant be achieved I will try this idea.

While this does not include an image, it is very contemporary I love its fresh clean style. The use of simple monotone is very effective.

I really like the colour tones of this magazine cover, the advertisers have really linked in the black eye make up with the thick handwriting.
