The image above is very contemporary, I like the style. I have thought about portraits of Nelson people with their writings over the images, perhaps I could photograph people with projected images of Nelson on their skin?

What I like about this image is the texture which is achieved by the choice of background that the projection is on. I like the scale of the womans face it is dominating and strong. The warm colours work well to give an aged look.

What attracted me to this particular image was its lomography photography style. The editing of the image and colour saturation gives it a aged feel – this is something I would like to have in my light Nelson piece. I originally thought about having images of Nelson then and now.

This image of a little boy at the beach projected onto somebodies back is very striking.  I could imagine having images of Nelson projected onto skin.

What a breath-taking image, I am relaxed and feel happy when I look at it. I would love to create something like this for light nelson. A series of images of people with Nelson ‘habitats’ projected onto their faces.

which brings me to something else that inspires me.. double exposure photography.

I would love to create a series of double exposure images and project them into G Block. They are breath taking.. even more so that the written word images I looked at.

My favorite intro to a movie/tv show is this one here which was created by the company ‘Elastic’ who also created the opening sequence for the Game of Thrones.

This webpage here is brilliant it gives the story board for the video and the ‘pitch’ for it.

These are awesome, but I think this is the kind of thing that Natalie is doing… projecting Nelson beach scenes onto portraits… I like your idea of celebrating Nelson in your subject’s own words… 🙂

  2. Yes Natalie is, I want to do something different. 🙂
