Monday 24th March update…

The task ahead is acquiring meat for the shoot. My friend Lauryn’s partner was going away hunting this weekend and said if he caught something I could have the scraps. I also had a message from Bobby who does the course with me saying she has a few hunter and butcher friends. Plan was I would wait and see what came of the hunting weekend with Lauryn’s partner.

Monday morning, hunting update… a large animal was caught but it was boned there and then as it was too heavy to carry it all back. Arghhh I needed the meat to take photos this week, to be on schedule. I spoke to Bobby and she said she wouldn’t be able to talk to her friends until Weds. I could wait until then but needed a plan b, so I rung up some local butchers.. success!

Explaining to them my strange request, Paul from Westmeat was able to help right away and has boned out a lambs chest cavity. I’m waiting on a call back from Max at Butcher Boys.

I have organised to shoot with my friend Lauryn tomorrow as I will need an assistant to help put the meat on me. Lauryn has got a chest freezer too so we can store the meat in there until we need it.

So I have a shoot date and time tomorrow Tues 25th March 9-3, location will be at my friends house as she has great space and lighting.

I will be meeting with on of our tutors Will today at 1pm to go over my ideas.. as he specialises in Photography and will get his input for the shoot.
